Amazing location right off the Ballhooter lift, definition of ski in ski out. And waffle shack is right out the back door, which smells amazing all day and is worth a visit. Great access to the village, Cheat Mountain Pizza was our favorite spot. The “coffee shop” in the lobby was nice, breakfast sandwiches were better than I expected and easier than waiting 30 minutes for Starbucks. Only issue we had was waiting to check in, had to wait until 5:30 to get in the room because the cleaners were behind. Luckily being so close to the village we just killed time there. Overall a very good value for the price.

This condo has great potential IF it had been clean. With the large cleaning and service fees that are being charged, I would have expected a CLEAN condo. There were greasy fingerprints all over the microwave and stove displays, the dishwasher had not been unloaded from the previous renter, there was sticky residue on the fridge handle and door, there was hair stuck to the shower walls, finger and face prints on the windows, and when I stripped the sheets preparing to leave, I discovered pubic hairs on the mattress pad. The condo itself is nice, convenient and spacious enough for our family of four. I hope the owner of the rental holds Mountain Lodge responsible for the lack of cleaning because it was disappointing and disgusting.

Honestly, without the stairs next to this unit, we would have given it 6/5 stars! It was really hard to ignore the stairs noise. Even late in the night or early in the morning. But the condo location and everything about it was superb! Maybe we will bring noise canceling headphones and try again? Again, it IS a wonderful place except that one thing.

This was by far one of the nicest condos in Mountain Lodge. Very comfortable set up and floor plan. Could easily accommodate a party of 6. Me and good friend have been doing a annual guys trip for a few years and tend to always deal with Mr Wolfe. He is always quickly responsive with any questions or concerns via email. Very professional and polite.

The location was outstanding. Walk out the door and you're at the top of Ballhooter lift. Wi-fi was great, my phone could pick it up from the lift, which is the only way you're making phone calls at Snowshoe. 🙁
Mountain Lodge was charming, great facilities. A bit dated, but that didn't matter to us.
The boot/glove dryers were a great plus - only work if you use them over the whole night, but it's a beautiful thing to have bone-dry boots and gloves in the morning.
Tim is AWESOME to work with. He provided all the details required to get us there, and made the whole process super easy for this never ever VRBO user.

"A clean, roomy, and well-described condo"

Our offseason stay at Tim's condo at Mountain Lodge was just about perfect. The place was reasonably priced, clean, as-described, and had all the amenities we needed. This condo is on the first floor and conveniently located near a door at one end of the building. The only thing to keep in mind is that there is no washer/dryer in the condo, and it is a fairly long (indoor) walk to the building's coin-operated laundry room.

Tim was a very attentive host, and quickly responded to my emails/inquiries. I would recommend ML 102 to anyone looking for an extended stay in the area.

The condo was great! Very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The only disappointment was the fact that everything in Snowshoe Village was closed! We had looked forward to eating and shopping there, but nothing was open. It would be helpful to include that information at the time of the reservation. If you did, I completely overlooked it and you can disregard my suggestion.

"Perfect Accommodations for the Holiday..."

...weekend and a birthday! I have stayed in the ML condos before, but it was in October when the village and other accommodations were closed for the summer season. This time, we needed accommodations for the holiday weekend and a birthday—prior to heading to Cass to ride the scenic railroad. It was perfect. The condo is well stocked with just about anything one would need—the bedrooms are spacious, the TWO FULL BATHROOMS made it really easy for 6 people to live comfortably for the length of our stay. I also really enjoyed the kitchen “bar” with stools, as it was nice to chat in the evenings over pizza from Cheat Mountain Pizza. This past weekend, there was also a mountain biking convention and a music festival which made the village simply light up. And, dinner at Foxfire Grille overlooking the mountain was also incredibly enjoyable. I think whether you are skiing, biking, or traveling to Cass for historic lessons, this is a great area I will return to—and likely rent these mountain lodge condos again. (This was our second adventure...and I would certainly do a third!)

Working with Tim is always great. His response time to queries is A1 and he is willing to work with you on requests. The front gate and desk had our room ready early and we were able to get there before the snow storm. I have had to book other rooms on past holiday and find his rooms the cleanest, well maintained and very easy to control temperatures. The bedroom overlooking the lift is the quiet one. The hallway one is good for heavy or late night sleepers as you heard the boot clompers and people entering that end until near midnight. Short walk to village and lifts are the Plus. Great Internet, Phone signal and good sharp flat screens top off the enjoyment level for this condo. Book early - he has 8 condos in the building that fill up fast for a reason. Price and value are the best of all the rooms for rent up there!

"Can't get much better of a location!"

Mountain Lodge is where we stay every year and this is the 2nd year in one of Tim's properties. My wife and 4 teenage boys were comfortable in this condo and the location couldn't be much better => 1st floor with a view of the Ballhooter lift! We were able to ski right up to the balcony and drop our skis and poles right on the balcony. We really liked the condo layout of the tall kitchen table with stools all around. The boys said the pull out couch was comfortable. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 was the noise from people going up and down the stairs right next to this condo. Even the Wifi worked great!

The room was great! Lots of room for eveyone and everything we needed was there. The only issue would be the public stairs are right next door and you can hear the foot traffic.

Mr Wolfe was quick to respond to my questions. The unit was clean and well stocked. The linens were in exceptional condition. Literally, steps from the Ballhooter lift. Walked to the village at night and the shuttle to Silver Creek is close.

ML 102 is very convenient to the slopes. The space is very efficient, not roomy, but we didn’t come to stay in the room. The bedroom with the bathroom built in is noisy due to location, but I had read that in the reviews so I brought a sound machine and had no problems resting. Ideally, I would’ve put the kids in that room and taken the other room with a view-but no bathroom suite. Tim is a very responsive condo owner and the staff were very prompt with any needs or concerns. This isn’t a luxurious accommodation. It is very efficient, convenient and clean. The photos are reflective of the amenities in real life. We brought our crockpot and were able to cook our own meals each day which was very affordable when paying for 6 people to ski and stay for a week. I would recommend this unit, and Mr. Wolf for anyone considering his properties.

This was our 4th time at snowshoe for a short ski trip. My fiance' and I took my parents to snowshoe with us this year as their Christmas gift. We have no complaints of this condo and also agree that working directly with Tim was great. Good view of ballhooter lift and the location right next to the door was great for ski in / ski out. The unit was clean and well stocked. We cooked in the condo and had everything we needed. I would certainly stay in this unit again and the close proximity to the waffle cabin never hurts either !

Yes, like other reviews the facilities were a bit run down and could use some upgrades -- however it was clean, comfortable and was such easy access to the best mountain I've boarded on east of Mississippi!

This property had a great location! We were so close to the slopes. The only true drawback was that we could hear everyone else coming and going out the exterior door (clomping in their snow boots). The property was comfortable and had all the kitchen basics plus 3 tvs. I'd stay here again.

Condo was clean, decently furnished, comfortable. Best feature by far is the location to the slopes. Literally could ski up to the deck, put skis there, walk around the corner to the door and be inside the condo in 10 seconds. Good shower, nice towels, beds comfortable. Kitchen minimally stocked but we were just eating breakfast/lunch and going out for dinner. We were two adults, 3 teenagers and a little kid and it was pretty tight, but we were there to ski, not hang out inside. Absolutely worked for us and we had a great time. Tim was pleasant and informative. I would recommend. And even though it hadn't snowed in a couple weeks, the slopes were in decent condition and we all had fun skiing.

Excellent thanksgiving weekend and opening day for 2016. My review is similar to the ones that I read before making my decision to book with Tim. Great to work with, quick to reply and has a really clean, comfortable, updated unit at Mt. Lodge. Our family averages 4 weekends at Snowshoe during the ski season and this was the first time that I have rented with Tim but hopefully not the last. If you are looking for a great location that is steps to everything in the village and on the slopes, this is the place that should be considered.
Great location, excellent unit and renting through Tim was easy from start to end.
If available, I would place this as a top 2br. unit to rent on my next trip.

"Everything You Need for a Pleasant Stay"

My brother and I stayed for three nights and found the condo very clean with everything you need make our stay very enjoyable. Close to the slops was the main reason I choose this condo, short distance to the outside door and then right to the slopes. Tim was responded immediately and provided all the information we needed. The staff at Mountain Lodge and the Village as an whole were outstanding. Internet access was very limited within the condo due to it being far for the wireless router, but then again we were not there to surf the web. The main village lacks wifi and this is of no fault of Tim nor his responsibility. We will be coming back, hopefully Tim's condo will be available for us.

My husband and I booked this place to take our son, his wife and 2 kids (ages 15 and 11). We have stayed at Mountain lodge before and found the location of this condo was much better. On the first floor and very close to a door that leads right out to the slopes made it very convenient. Clean and well equipped. This place was perfect for the 6 of us. Our grandkids first time skiing was a blast. Thank you very much. Will probably be back next year.

Tried to make a last minute escape from the blizzard of 2016 and made a short notice reservation for this property. Unfortunately, the my HOA failed at plowing our neighborhood out so wasn't able to make it out of our driveway to Snowshoe. Tim could not have been nicer and more understanding.After working with me to make alternate arrangements he made an exception to the standard policy and fully refunded everything. We will definitely rent from him the next we make it to Snowshoe. If you rent here, know that you will be dealing with honest and straightforward person.Thanks Tim!

"Fun MLK Weekend"

We really enjoyed our weekend stay in ML 102. It's a great location, convenient to both the slopes and the parking lot. It was really easy for us to come in from the slopes to warm up or have meals. Being an end unit, there is noise from the stairs next door, but most people respect the quiet hours, so it was not an issue during sleeping hours.

This was our first visit to Snowshoe and we loved being at Mountain Lodge. It's so convenient to the Village and the Ballhooter lift. The kids loved the game room and the 7:00 PM movies in the lounge. Staff throughout the resort were helpful and friendly. Although the weather was rather cold and windy, the skiing was great. We especially enjoyed skiing at Silver Creek, which was less crowded than the other areas.

The rental process was easy and Tim Wolfe provided us with lots of great info for our stay. The condo was quite comfortable and has everything you need, though it could use more and larger bowls for soup/oatmeal for hungry skiers. Also, would be great if the master bedroom had a blackout curtain in addition to the blinds on the window as it lets in light from the hallway during the night.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and definitely would consider staying here again.

My family and friends were renting this property for a week in snowshoe and I as very pleased to find this great deal (price and location). We had everything ready to go but the weather made it impossible. At the end of december - beginning of january, snowshoe had to close the mountain as was so warm and rainy. I contacted this owner requesting a cancelation and he was very quick answering and giving me a full refund. The next time a plan a visit to snowshoe this is where I am going to stay. Booked property for a ski weekend after the Holidays. Owner sent detailed information on the area, resort, clear directions and even a discount on rentals. Weather turned very warm and the slopes closed just before our trip. Was contacted by the owner, informed about the ski closing and was given a FULL refund. Even though we did not get to make this trip, we could not be happier with the service and trustworthyness of the property owner. We plan to rent this same property as soon as the ski conditions improve.

We booked the week of New Years several months ago, but unfortunately the slopes are closed due to lack of snow. Tim sent me an email offering to refund the full price of the condo if we didn't want to come. This came as a huge but very welcome surprise. He was very accommodating throughout the rental process, and I will definitely stay in his property in the future.

Myself and four others were there to ride our downhill bikes. The location of this condo is convenient for getting to the Village, Wildcat Provisions, Ballhooter Lift. Everything was as advertised, but to be honest, we didn't spend much time in the condo. I will continue to use this property owner for future trips to Snowshoe.

We enjoyed our stay not really to many complaints. The living room furniture needs replaced and a few spots in the walls need fixing. I couldn't find a broom to sweep. The dishwasher isn't good at all. My main complaint is the cable connection in the bedroom by the entrance. I complained about it last time. My husband doesn't want to stay thee again if it doesn't get fixed. Other than that it's a good location and good employees willing to help:)

A few friends and I looked for a place to stay last minute. We were out of options and just about to call it quits until we talked to Mr. Wolfe. He was very gracious to put us up last minute and was just a pleasure to work with, everything went very smoothly. The location could not of been better! The room we rented was on the first floor with a great view of Ballhooter lift. We were first on the slopes and stopping for lunch was a such a quick turn around since we could just set most of the gear over the rail on the porch. I have stayed at Mountain Lodge before and this is by far one of the nicest places I have stayed in. I will be looking to rent this location again in the future.

We had a great time here. The location is great right next to the slopes. The room was beautiful. It was nice, quiet and equipment for our needs. I loved the fact it had fans, alarm clocks, and kitchen utensils. Any cons I saw was the tv in the first bedroom is very fuzzy I think the cord from cable needs replaced. The wifi is horrible but on mountain I guess it couldn't be that great. If there was a broom I would have swept the kitchen. But over all it was very enjoyable:)

we had a great time staying here for our last fun in the snow this season. i enjoyed the condo and it served us well.
Complaints (not much): internet was really bad. ML needs to upgrade the entire wifi system.
Private owners like this condo should also get access to the swim area, not just people who book with the resort. It makes me want to book with the resort and save $20/person / day!!!!! just to enjoy some water after a long day of skiing.

The property was great I had no gripes with it. Staff working the lobby on the other hand could have been much better. When asked a question they acted as tho we were a bother to them and shewed us away.
Wifi in lobby had issues but would not reach or work in the condo.

We had a good time weather was great. Location was great right at the end of the lodge. First floor means somebody might be above you and yes it was filled full of kids. Not bad at night they were quiet. In front of our room did turn into a snow ball fight area. I would give the room a higher rating but bed was a little stiff. Room was clean, staff needs to do a better job of vacumning next time. Boot dryer did not seem to work. Owner was very helpful with payment and answering questions.

This was our first time back to Snowshoe in twenty years and it has changed quite a lot since then. All for the good. We all had a great time. It certainly helps when you get 10" of powder while you're there. We really loved the convenience of the room location. The condo was clean and in good condition. My only complaint was that the WIFI was spotty at best. There is no cell communication as described, so the Internet is your only free communication outlet. Not a big deal for some, but I own a business and needed a way to communicate. Overall, it was a great trip. We will definitely be back next year.

The location of the condo was great. Literally a stones throw to the Ballhooter lift. However, I was not happy with the parking situation. The Condo did not clean the parking lot and as a result one of our vehicles was blocked in by another vehicle trying to make a spot for himself due to all the snow that accumulated. We spent over 2 hours digging our car out. Once we moved it another car overnight blocked it again. Ridiculous. The Condo was extremley convienent to the Village. You could walk to the village within 50 yards. If you want convienence this is the place.
